Dear Janolytes,
I sit here infused by chocolate, drinking my water, letting my new tattoo dry, and listening to Jennie’s Cd. I never listened to Black Pink before but the few singles that Spotify showed me since she had others with artist I actually listen to led me to her. Right now I’m 3 tracks in. I can YEET to this.

Anyway.

Obviously by the title of this issue you know why I am here. After 2.5 years it is time for issue 6 and the beginning of Act 2 of this story. Yep, the story i started back in the unemployment saga of 2016-early 2017 continues.

And true to Jano JRPG style it wasn’t simple. Levels 1 through 5 were done with no problem during my unemployment arc. I wrote Act 2 at some point and I had worked briefly late April 2017 until late May 2017 at cotton field 7 and 8.But since the cotton fields I were at didn’t require me to wake up BEFORE THE FUCKING SUN AND DID NOT INVOLVE PHYSICAL EXERTION, shit was good. I got laid off for a few weeks went back to work mid June to mid July 2017 at Cotton field 8. I had a Jano’s alive party, got back online and was unemployed roughly 9 weeks. I started working on Act 2 because if you have time to work on your craft without a slave schedule that what you do.

DUH!

I started at cotton field 9 early September 2017, and omg nigga my Knees. FUCK NIGGA MY KNEES. FUCK LADDERS!!! ON KAMI BRO!! And I had to be at work at 5 am.

I was so Weak in the knees like SWV, but not in the way they meant it.

I wish that was a typo, I really do. But that was the arc I was in.

Despite that I did my best to do my work.By Thanksgiving 2017 I had act 2 drawn and inked. I eventually started the coloring portion, which would be a task in itself since ya know ladders and a whack sleep schedule.

Spoiler Alert.

I got to Page 6 and then my house got broken into January 2018……yeah.
Depression, PTSD, and Anxierty are strong when it is the 2nd time. I hope those niggas die in a fire and life has made them suffer.

*Deep sigh*

Obviously niggas can’t color without a cpu so I ended up scripting Act 3 and 4 when i went back to cotton 8. Also working on Emerald Evisceration when I got my laptop back. At some point cotton field 9 let me go because of dumb white man fuckery, and eventually Cotton field 8 ended. So for 4 months I just worked on Act 3 and 4, chilled with friends, played video games, and took nature walks.

Simple Times Bro.

Eventually I had all of my story drawn, inked and scanned in. When this occurred in September 2018, i said I’m gonna relax.

And so I did.

The last week of Septemeber 2018 I went back to at Cotton Field 9 for 2 weeks, then eventually being at Cotton field 10.

Look I know there is alot of Cotton field hoping within a year and some months. I know. That’s a whole separate conversation and you can email me if you want to talked to me about it.

Anyway, once January 2019 hit I resolved to restart my book since super slave season was now over.

Simple right.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. Cotton field 10 was me having to be at work at 6 am in a warehouse FILLED WITH FUCKERY. Holy fuck nigga the fuckery.
Side note I’ll be so glad to be done with this warehouse arc that started with Cotton field 10.

Despite my best intention I didn’t finish this issue until July 2019 due to fatigue and other things.

UGH.
Once I finished I released issue 2. I had this whole plan to finish an issue and release an issue. Which was good in theory, but life said

OH NIGGA YOU GOT PLANS? AIGHT BRO. Watch this.

I had the FULLEST PLAN to be done with this series in 2020, but that was certainly NOT the case.

Needless to say none of that happened and here we are me releasing Issue 6 years later. Everyone’s journey is different.

Side note, the aforementioned Jennie CD was really good. it legit just finished.

Anyway Azure Ascendance Level 6 is here and the synopsis goes as follows.
Following the tragic results with the fight with Hannya all parties head their separate ways to grief and process the events that led to their new reality. New characters are introduced as this new act unfolds to a new wave of chaos that surpasses the bedlam Hannya previously spearheaded.

I introduce a slew of new characters and give continue to give the characters a plot of their own as this story goes on. Its only 14 issues remaking after this so enjoy it while it last. Even if I wasn’t working these raggedy ass jobs I don’t know If i would continue it. Making a comic and DOING EVERYTHING IS ALOT NIGGA!!! I won’t say its not possible to continue but I will say right now at this current position I am in life its unlikely. There is a goal to get it animated tho.

I need to finish Final Fantasy 7, yes the same Final Fantasy 7 i was playing in 2018.

twin 19_preview

Dear Friends of Jano,

We now return to our regularly scheduled program.

Huh?

A series of flashbacks of my art journey since the summer of that fuck boy 2016.

OOOOOOOOH

Right now that my special issues are out of the way, we go back to where we left off. 2017.

Man, two thousand fucking seventeen. Holy fuck my niggas it was a legit a god damn motha fucking journey.

Was it as bad as 2016?

No, but I promise you it felt like an RPG at some point in this journey. Spoiler alert we will get to that in a few issues.

But for now we are gonna enjoy simple times and talk about the first photoshoot I did of last year. Spoiler Alert I got paid for it. YES LAWD * Anderson Paak voice. I could afford life for a brief moment in my continued unemployment stint.

One Friday night in January while I was watching YuYu Hakusho when right at Yusuke and Sensui were starting their battle, my phone went off. Hermit me was like who in blue hell is emailing me. It was my actress homegirl England Simpson. Her and her twin sister wanted to do a photoshoot, and the theme of it was to be similar to Beyonce’s Lemonade music video.

Ok so this may piss some people off (Oh well) but I don’t like Beyonce enough to keep up with her music. She is ok but do I care when she release something, nah not at all.

So I watch the Lemonade video to see what they want. Real Shit main thing I saw was a plantation. What? It couldn’t have been just me. Then went to my Bff Google to see if Charlotte has any plantations and holy fuck it does. Legit wasn’t ready for that. Damn the monuments of slavery still fucking exist along side systematic racism and oppression.

FIX IT OBAMA PLEASE!!

Remember when I said 2017 was a journey. Well this was the first part of the literally journey. Spoiler Alert, I drove around a lot last year scouting locations.

So I spent my Sunday plantation hunting, yes that was a legit a thing.

The first place was a pass and honestly not worth describing past this sentence. Place two, hot damn. I arrive and as soon as I pull into the property this old white meth face lady hits the gas and follows me like I am a runaway slave. At some point we both open our windows, I lead to ask her some questions. Her answer was basically leave nigger before I Lynch ya.

Well damn.

Then she drove to chase someone else down. Look Bitch if you don’t want people to visit, close the fucking gate to your low budget Candy Land. Points if you caught the Django reference. Should have burned that whole bitch down.

Place three was a legit charm, well despite the fact that it was a plantation. As much as I hate slavery, I legit never saw myself looking for a plantation. Anyway Latta Plantation was the location and it ddef had that old colonial vibe of Lynch a nigger, rape his wife and then raise the child to be a foot stool, Ding Ding Ding we had a winner. Thank you for still existing a racist ass testament to the dark ages.

I email my friends and tell them that we are all set, Kinda, turns out they would be closed on the day we wanted to shoot.

Fuck. But do I give them points for being closed on Martin Luther King Jr day? Nah cuz it is still fucking plantation.

We defaulted to Independence Park which is off Hawthorne Lane….not Independence Boulevard….wait what? Fuck it. Anyway nigga it was cold as fuck. I need to get that out the way before we continue to establish the setting of this narrative. England and Ingrid had their poses already worked out and how they wanted to go, which made the shoot go faster was fine since it was cold as fuck. Did I say it was as cold as fuck earlier? Just making sure. I think I had one idea I wanted them to bring to life but that was it, and I’m Kool with that.

Real shit I would type more but I think I’m done now. I’m going to indulge myself in Final Fantasy 7 for the first time. I know I’m 20 years late with that. Same with me just now starting to listen to Incubus. Either are a good distraction from recent depression episodes and this existential crisis. Yeah those are loads of fun, not really.

Dear Friends of Jano,

Have you ever played Sonic Cd? I feel the bulk of you just went no, well 1. Why?  2. It is ok because I will explain. In Sonic CD, Sonic the Hedgehog would be in the past, present and future at various points in the game. Why is this relevant because I realized that is how this website will seem sometimes. The theme song is now playing in my head.

Anyway.

So there are some perks to being unemployed, kinda. I get to spend my time story boarding Act 2 of comic series Azure Ascendance and try to get some photo projects well when life lets me. Let me explain. As I said I’ve been storyboarding the fuck out of Act 2, which you would think would be easy since I literally wrote the story a while ago. But I have to make sure the story still makes sense, characters are anatomically correct, and I don’t do the same boring character stances every single fucking panel. Once I actually finish gesturing out Act 2(currently on issue 10), then I will go back and confirm the line work, ink, scan and then spend the next several months coloring. Yes, you read that write several months.

But Jano isn’t each Act going to be 5 issues?

Yes, and ideally I should get 1 issue done a month. BUT that is ideally and as we all know sometimes idealism is not a reality. Hence why I am saying several months instead of 5. As far as Issue 2 is concerned that will be released soon.I don’t plan on releasing an Issue until I can purchase the copyright. Let me remind ya’ll, if someone steals my work I will stab the fuck out of their life and sign their dead body with my cum. Spoiler alert: I have a foul mouth and make no apologies for it. My parents would be so proud….not really.

As far as my photo projects that I’ve been trying to bring life to since April. YO, Unprofessional people are the absolute worse, they can get stabbed in their cunt hole souls. I had wanted to try to do a few more  fantasy concept shoots but after the arduous, annoying, and aggrevating ordeal of securing models the past few months for the 4 ideas I had, I legit will wait to next spring before to pursue those artistic visions I desired.  Spoiler Alert: when I am done with these few remains shoots, there is a high chance I will be retiring my camera for the next few months. The only way I am going to do a shoot is if I am getting paid, unless we have a prior arrangement. And if we do have a prior arrangement (example when you say you will model for me), after a courtesy check I will not continue to chase you down if you expressed an interest.The only way I may do it is if 1. You actually matter to me as a person or 2. wait, there is no 2. I am totally ok with dropping worthless souls from my life  😉

That’s essentially where I stand with my projects.I did one of my concept shoots on Sunday and I will be working on those photos this week. I legit want to spend a lot of my time playing video games but I know if I pick up the controller I may go down the rabbit hole and won’t work on my book. Yay for moderation and a tiny bit of laziness. In other news there is only 1 episode left of Game of Thrones this season(UGH),Remember Dragon Lives Matter. The Defenders still made me wanna burn The Iron Fist.Rick is the koolest pickle I’ve ever seen in my life, he could be a Defender.Eclipses are magical, and remember when you see a Nazi stab them and make it look sexy.

Yea I hate Nazi’s, that’s a thing.
